What Do I Need to Bring?
Where are Kravica Waterfalls?
Kravica Falls is located in the Southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, around 40 kilometers south of Mostar.
Can You Swim in Kravice Waterfalls?
Yes, Kravice is open for swimming. There are also very shallow areas, which are perfect for kids. There’s also a deeper part of the small lake where you can possibly snorkel. Beware, even on the hottest days, the water is quite cold.
Do I have to Hike to Get to Kravica Falls?
You need to know that from the entrance of Kravica to the actual waterfalls there’s downhill walking for around 15 minutes. The only issue with visiting in summer is the soaring temperatures (bring a hat and a bottle of water).
Since not everyone can or wants to hike, there is a mini train that rides both directions. A single Kravica mini train ticket costs around 2 EUR, while the ride itself is around 5-minutes. It’s a nice ride to experience.
Can I Buy Food and Drinks at Kravice Falls in Bosnia?
Yes, visitors to Kravica can buy food and drinks. Right next to the lake there is a several restaurants where you can find local dishes and buy various beverages.
This tour was one of the highlights of my Balkans trip. Each location had its own unique charm. Blagaj’s monastery by the water was so peaceful. Počitelj offered incredible views and was like a living museum. And Kravice Waterfalls… I could’ve stayed there forever! Great for swimming, photos, and just enjoying nature. The pacing of the tour was spot on, and the guide was lovely. Highly recommended!

Fantastic way to see some of Herzegovina’s most beautiful spots in one day. Blagaj was a peaceful start to the day, with its cool spring and quiet setting. Počitelj was full of history — climbing to the fortress was totally worth it. And Kravice Waterfalls? Stunning! We had enough time to swim and eat. The guide gave helpful tips and fun facts all day long. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking for nature and culture combined.
Blagaj was an absolute surprise — I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful. The sound of the river and the cliff towering over the monastery was mesmerizing. Počitelj was historic and scenic, especially the fortress. But Kravice Waterfalls took my breath away. We had lunch there and swam — felt like a mini paradise. The guide was engaging and the transport was comfortable. Would definitely book again.
