Where are Kravica Waterfalls?
Kravica Falls is located in the Southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, around 40 kilometers south of Mostar.
Can You Swim in Kravice Waterfalls?
Yes, Kravice is open for swimming. There are also very shallow areas, which are perfect for kids. There’s also a deeper part of the small lake where you can possibly snorkel. Beware, even on the hottest days, the water is quite cold.
Do I have to Hike to Get to Kravica Falls?
You need to know that from the entrance of Kravica to the actual waterfalls there’s downhill walking for around 15 minutes. The only issue with visiting in summer is the soaring temperatures (bring a hat and a bottle of water).
Since not everyone can or wants to hike, there is a mini train that rides both directions. A single Kravica mini train ticket costs around 2 EUR, while the ride itself is around 5-minutes. It’s a nice ride to experience.
Can I Buy Food and Drinks at Kravice Falls in Bosnia?
Yes, visitors to Kravica can buy food and drinks. Right next to the lake there is a several restaurants where you can find local dishes and buy various beverages.
Is there a place to change clothes at Kravica Waterfall?
Yes, there are public changing cabins and restrooms available at the Kravica Waterfall resort area. We highly recommend bringing your swimwear and a towel so you can easily change and enjoy a refreshing swim during our 3 hours of free time there.
Kravice was absolutely amazing! It’s a place where you can truly relax, unwind, and just take in the beauty of nature. The water is cool and refreshing, and the sound of the falls is incredibly calming. We had about two hours there which was just right for swimming and taking photos. Then came Počitelj — a charming, historic village perched on a hill. I loved wandering through its narrow paths and seeing the local artisans selling handmade crafts. The view from the fortress was breathtaking. The guide gave us just enough history without it feeling like a lecture. It’s rare to find a tour that blends nature and culture this well!
Kravice blew me away. You get time to relax, swim, explore, and take amazing photos. Počitelj was charming — don’t skip the photo stop!
Kravice was magical! Great spot to unwind and take amazing photos. The brief stop at Počitelj made me want to come back and explore it more deeply. The guide provided great insights and local tips.
I loved this tour! The falls were mesmerizing, and the opportunity to swim made it even better. Počitelj felt like a hidden gem. Amazing photo ops at both stops. Would do it again for sure.
I’ve seen a lot of waterfalls across Europe, but Kravice has its own wild charm. Not too touristy, yet accessible. Bonus: local vendors nearby had the best fresh figs I’ve ever tasted.
